Shipping policy

All orders begin production once payment has been received, estimated dates for production are shown on each product page and in the shopping cart, and also provided in your confirmation email. Dates are subject to fluctuations in order backlog at the time of order. You will receive another notification when your order is ready for pickup  or has shipped. 

Shop pickup

You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup at our shop. We will send you an email when your order is ready along with instructions. Please note beds come in 3 bundles wrapped in pallet wrap. Bundles can weigh 160lbs+ and are almost 8 feet long and up to 44.5" wide - please ensure your vehicle is the appropriate size and bring blankets for protection and tarps etc if necessary to protect your product(s) from the elements during transport.

Our in-store pickup hours are 9-5 on M-F unless otherwise agreed. Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.

Local delivery

We offer local delivery for a fixed price shown on checkout we can include installation for an additional fee to be agreed in advance. We will contact you via text message with the phone number you provided at checkout to notify you of the day of our arrival.

Courier Shipments - Ace Courier Network

We offer curbside courier delivery in BC and AB anywhere that Ace Courier delivers. If your community is not serviced by Ace Courier we can arrange delivery to the closest Ace Courier depot for you to pick up upon request.

Shipment fees include crating to protect your products during shipment. Beds come in 3 crates with assembly and mounting instructions (and telephone support if needed).

Shipping to areas not covered by Ace Courier service

We offer truck shipping all across Canada and the continental USA with live rates provided by a third-party freight company based on DDU terms. If you can't find a live rate through our site on check-out contact us to manually provide a quotation

Import Duties and Taxes: All international orders are shipped under Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) Inco Terms. This means that the customer is responsible for any and all import duties, taxes, and other related charges applicable at the destination country, both now and in the future. These charges are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost and must be paid directly by the customer. Failure to pay these charges may result in delivery delays, and we cannot be held responsible for any additional fees or consequences arising from such delays.

How do I check the status of my order?

After order placement, you can login to your customer account to check the status or contact us directly. When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a waybill number you can use to check its status.

If you haven’t received your order within 7 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at support@kootenaybeds.ca with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.

Refunds, returns, and exchanges

We accept returns of standard products up to 30 days after delivery, if the item is unused and in its original packaging, we will refund the full order amount minus the shipping costs for delivery and return and a restocking fee of 25%. For full details please refer to our refund policy

In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at support@kootenaybeds.ca with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.

Storage & Delivery
Kootenay Beds Inc. will gladly store any item purchased for the customer free of charge for up to 2 months, after 2 months Kootenay Beds will make 3 attempts to contact the customer, if customer is unreachable Kootenay Beds Inc reserves the right to sale your item and NO refund will be issued to the consumer. If the customer chooses to have Kootenay Beds store for an additional time Kootenay Beds reserves the right to charge a fair price for storage of item equal to $10.00 per day and no more than $300.00 per month.

Delivery: Kootenay Beds will make a reasonable amount of delivery attempts if for any reason the customer is unreachable by the carrier and the carrier is forced to charge reallocation or storage fees, these fees must be paid by the consumer prior to the product being redelivered. In the event the item is returned to the Kootenay Beds the customer may be responsible for a new shipping charge.

Changing Delivery Destination
Kootenay Beds will not be responsible for extra freight charges incurred if you change the delivery destination while the Product is en route. There is no guarantee that you will be able to change the delivery destination while the Product is en route. Extra freight charges may apply and will be your responsibility for any change of the delivery destination provided in your initial order.
