Who We Are
We are a team of engineers, creative minds and beauty lovers based in New Denver, British Columbia. After our life had been caught in the Covid whirlwind and we found ourselves landing back in the Kootenays from the other end of the world, we had to find a way to accommodate our newfound life in just a few square meters. Our family had to live, work, and play in a tiny cabin. And this is how the concept of the Murphy Bunk beds had emerged: when we finally started to think small and downsize our living.
With a family history well-rooted in the Kootenays, we are committed to giving back to our welcoming community and keep the Kootenays thriving.
We dreamt of a product that would space up people’s lives and bring a touch of nature, beauty, and colour into their homes.
With every product we develop, we strive to blend aesthetics with functionality and practicality and create a solid, beautiful, and versatile product. Our Murphy Beds are made to last a lifetime, built of 100% solid wood, with no particle boards or other compromises made to quality, aesthetic and safety.
Each bed we build is one-of-a-kind, handcrafted with love, great attention to detail and safety.

🌲 We hand-select premium Canadian pine for every build. No mass-production—just solid wood chosen for its grain and natural character.
80+ Hours of Craft
⏳Every board is routered, sanded, and joined by hand. We allow the wood to acclimate to our workshop environment for 8 weeks to ensure zero warping after it reaches your door.
Your Signature Finish
🎨Stained by hand to highlight the wood’s soul. Whether a natural grain or a custom color, every finish is applied with love by our painters.
Assembly
🛠️ Every bed is 100% assembled in our workshop first. Our uncompromising quality audit ensures the mechanism and finish are perfect.
Crating
📦Your investment deserves fortress-grade security. We build custom solid wood crates to ensure your bed arrives in flawless condition.
