General Labourer, Manufacturing (Woodworking)
Location: 855 China Creek Road, Genelle, BC
Position type: Permanent, full-time (35–40 hours per week)
Wage: $19.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience

Position overview
We are seeking a hardworking and dependable General Labourer to join our production team. This position supports material handling, shop maintenance, component preparation, and assembly across our woodworking operations.
This role offers long-term growth. While initial duties focus on core general labour, you will receive ongoing hands-on training in woodworking, joinery, power tool operation, and machinery use.
Key responsibilities
- Material handling and preparation: Unload, move, and stack raw lumber, wood components, and sub-assemblies throughout the shop.
- Production support: Assist carpenters, CNC operators, and assemblers with machine feeding, tailing off, component sanding, and hardware preparation.
- Packaging and shipping: Wrap, box, and palletize finished solid wood bed parts for safe transportation.
- Shop upkeep and safety: Keep workspaces clean, manage sawdust extraction and cleanup, organize material racks, and follow workplace safety standards.
- Skill development: Participate in step-by-step training on wood processing equipment, woodworking techniques, and quality inspection.
Qualifications
- Physically able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lb) regularly during a shift.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented shop.
- Previous manufacturing, construction, or general labour experience is an asset, but not required. A willingness to learn is key.
- Communication skills suited to active shop safety and teamwork.
