Who we are
We are a team of engineers, creative minds and beauty lovers based in New Denver, British Columbia. After our life had been caught in the Covid whirlwind and we found ourselves landing back in the Kootenays from the other end of the world, we had to find a way to accommodate our new found life in just a few square meters. Our family had to live, work, and play in a tiny cabin.
And this is how the concept of the Murphy Bunk beds had emerged: when we finally started to think small and downsize our living.
With a family history well-rooted in the Kootenays for more than 100 years, we are committed to giving back to our welcoming community and keep the Kootenays thriving.
In these challenging days, when the physical borders between work, home, play and learning have been temporarily suspended, we’re proposing a product that accommodates “the new reality” and its dramatic lifestyle adjustments. And so, we brought the office into the bedroom, turned the cottage/ guest room into an office, the library into the master bedroom, the basement into a nice guest bedroom and so on: endless configurations when you start to make some space around.
Our Promise to Nature
We will give everything back to nature. For every murphy bed we build we are going to plant a tree in British Columbia. That’s why we have partnered with Tree Canada to plant a tree for every bed we sell. Be a part of this next chapter with us!
